Hey everyone, Dhru and Philip here. Today we are spotlighting one of the newest gluten-free raw-friendly vegan joints in the NYC area, Sun In Bloom Kitchen. WLIR Tribe Member Aimee Follette loves her neighborhood, has lived there since 96', and doesn't foresee moving for a long time. So what did she do, she created a job for herself and for others right in her backyard, while at the same time filling a missing void in her Brooklyn community for delicious healthy food.

Aimee is all about community, and connecting others, especially in the Brooklyn area. She likes to keep her food and her presence local, (she lives just down the street from the cafe). She even passes the Bikram Yoga Park Slope center where she used to teach, on her way to work every morning. Her cafe has become a meeting spot of sorts, in which many locals come daily for their green juice or vegan cupcakes.

Why we love her: Because Aimee brings the thunder by taking her vision and passion right to her own backyard.
